Terms of use

The terms for using this site and its data, in plain words.

Independent siteReviewed

Who can use the site?

Anyone, for free. By using Paycheck Stats you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

What are the figures for?

The figures are estimates for information only. They are calculated from official rules under the assumptions on the methodology page, and they are not tax, legal, payroll or financial advice. Decisions about your pay, withholding or taxes should rest on your own documents and, where needed, a professional's advice.

Is every figure guaranteed?

No. The site is provided as it is, without any warranty. Every figure is checked against official sources, but rules change, agencies publish corrections and mistakes can happen. The site may also change or remove pages at any time.

Who is responsible for decisions based on the site?

You are. To the extent the law allows, Paycheck Stats is not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or relying on its figures.

Can I reuse the data?

Yes, with a link. The statistics tables and downloads are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0): you may copy, share and adapt them if you credit Paycheck Stats and link to the page the data comes from.

The text, design, code and charts of the site are not covered by that license and stay the site's own. Short quotes with a link are welcome.

What is not allowed?

Anything that harms the site or its visitors: overloading the servers with automated requests, trying to break in, or presenting the site's figures as an official government statement.

Can these terms change?

Yes. The date at the top of this page changes whenever the terms change. They were last reviewed on November 1, 2026. Questions about this page can go to hello@paycheckstats.com.
